Uses of Debit Cards over Cash

Abstract

When it comes to card payments, many people are not comfortable with it, they still have a fear about it. So people generally opt for traditional cash payment system. In fact lack of awareness about usage of debit cards is one of the reason behind this fear. Also the benefits & advantages of debit card payment systems have not reached to many people yet. Debit cards can be considered as good substitute for cash. Whether the change is due to access of debit cards or the absence of cash is not wholly ascertained. This paper will shade the light on positive sides of debit card payment system and about its benefits. It also examines the cognitive and emotional associations that people have with payment modes. Slowly and steadily everything is transforming into digital world. So to initiate using cards for all types of transactions will be one of the step of it.
