Study of Economic Impact of Maintenance Management Ineffectiveness Concerning Oil and Gas Company

Abstract

Maintenance is a critical element in the production process of oil and gas (O&G) industry. Maintenance management aims to assign the most suitable maintenance strategy for equipment within the process to meet an acceptable level of integrity and safety and gain high reliability and availability of asset without any unnecessary investment. A develop an integrated framework for strategic and operational maintenance policies in the oil and gas industry is presented to satisfy the above statement.

Different methods and approaches were utilized to achieve the aim and objectives of this research such as Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), fuzzy logic and mathematical programming. The outcomes of the proposed integrated framework illustrate high equipment effectiveness and minimum maintenance spending.
