Abstract

The banking sector has emerged as a very important service industry in the present competitive world. The transfer from the traditional banking to e-Banking has been a rising amendment in banking dealings. Enlarged competition, the advancement of information and communication technology, changing business environment, etc. are the important concerns that have forced banking services to change. Generally, e-banking products and services include debit, credit cards, online/Internet banking, mobile banking, and other e-payments/digital payments. Nowadays, many banks open branches in colleges and university campuses for payment of fees and other banking works. Bank statements can be available through net banking and ATMs. Education loan is provided for professional courses. College students need to be aware about which type of account will be more beneficial to them. Banks’ time as well as transaction cost can be saved if they are aware of the rules and technology in banking. The present paper is an attempt to know the e-banking products and services of commercial banks and the students’ awareness, usage, or participation e banking activities and their support to the concept of ‘cashless society/economy’. This study considers the UG students of Porbandar City. The sample is collected by using the convenience sampling method.
