Abstract

Nowadays stress is a very common problem in every human life. Today, the world is moving very fast, peoples are giving high-level work performance for their life’s betterment. In this scenario, they are affected by high-level stress. There are two major factors for stress; one is an internal factor, and another one is an external factor. IT sector is one of the fastest-growing sectors in India. The employees working in different organizations must deal with stress. Especially IT professionals are under a great deal of stress due to many reasons. The stress contributes to decreased organizational performance, decreased employee overall performance, decreased quality of work, high attrition rate and absenteeism due to health problems such as anxiety, depression, headache and backache. Men and women are equally getting job opportunity in this sector. Compared to men, women face many tasks in their working and family environment. Work-life balance is an art; if the women employees are properly balancing their work and family life, means they can easily avoid the stress in their working environment.
