Abstract

Employee Engagement is the level of employee’s participation and contribution towards the achievement of organisational goals and mission. It helps to determine the employee’s commitment towards the organisation. Employee Engagement has emerged as a critical factor for the business success. Engagement has the potential to significantly affect Employee Retention, Productivity, and Loyalty. The study attempts to investigate the level of Employee Engagement and its predictors among the employees of authorised dealership of Maruti Suzuki, this helped to understand the employee involvement, perceptions and the engagement of employees in their respective work. The research is based on the primary data and secondary data whereas primary data is collected from 50 employees on a number of parameters related to Employee Engagement. The research concluded that the level of employee engagement in the organization is quite satisfactory. Five Factors namely Employee Recognition, Satisfactory Environment, Employee Growth Opportunity, Pleasant relations between co-workers and Employee Benefit Plan were found to be the predictors of Employee Engagements.

Employee Engagement survey was conducted at an authorised dealership of Maruti Suzuki, this helped to understand the employee involvement, perceptions and the engagement of employees in their respective work. This played an important role for the organisation as this organisation completed just a year and few months more. The survey concluded that the two different units, which are, showroom and workshop, have different results.
