Abstract

Organization to survive in this competitive world has to excel their employees’ competencies as well as retain them within the organization. Employee satisfaction and development are the two factors which an organization should take care of. Pharma PSU is a public sector undertaking in Pune, Maharashtra state. With low-cost maintenance, conservation of energy should be maintained in continuous process, which gives hi-tech products keeping in mind the total satisfaction of customers. Organization takes care of training and development programs to equip their employee to better cope up with the technical demands and dynamic environment today, and the company also takes care that the employees are satisfied with the training and development practices. This paper seeks to identify the variables of training and development practices and the impact of this training and development on employee satisfaction. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the primary data, which was associated with the help of pilot study and literature review for this paper .The questionnaire comprised items, categorized into sections: demographic representation of employees, employee satisfaction with organization, training and development, and GHRM Global Human resource management practices. To generate results with the help of SSPS Social Service Payment System, correlation and regression analysis were taken. Employee satisfaction has a positive association with training and development which is a helping hand in boosting activities both from the organization and employee point of view.
