Abstract

Delays in services creates a bad impression of service provider on the customer. Timely delivery and proper response is required in supply chain management system to keep accelerating the progress of firm. Courier and express package delivery services requires a well-managed transportation and delivery strategy which should make the process easy and convenient for both, the customers as well as the employees. The present study involves the exploration of Blue Dart courier services, and specifically discusses about the delivery time. These services are based on Supply Chain Management. This study is supported by a survey with customers and employee to assess reasons for delay and further proposes a methodology for detailed analysis in future.
