Strengthening the roots of SMEs in India will foster the economic development which can be enriched through the efficient technology upgradation. The Indian electronics industry can be considered as one of the largest and fastest-growing industries in the world. Indian government is taking several steps to promote manufacturing and investment in electronics sector, to reduce the dependence on imports and to keep pace with the increase in the number of investment proposals received within the sector.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The present paper based on empirical work, examines the major issues on the way of achieving $ 10 trillion economy in Indian Electronics Manufacturing sector. The study intends to analyse the current status of the technology in Small and Medium scale enterprises of Electronics sector.&nbsp; An experimental survey provides a deep insight about the perceptions of various entrepreneurs with regard to future work and the current technology. The study defines certain specific recommendations to all the stakeholders of SME sector in facing set of challenges which could impact its future growth and in turn affect the Indian economy.</p> ER -
