Abstract

In the fast-changing retail media landscape, customer loyalty is essential for long-term business success. However, the concept and measurement of loyalty differ greatly across industries, creating challenges for businesses looking to foster enduring customer relationships. This paper examines the significant role of retail media in promoting customer loyalty, focusing on how digital platforms and personalized advertising are increasingly shaping consumer behavior. The study identifies key variations in loyalty metrics among industries, exploring how each sector defines, measures, and utilizes customer loyalty to drive engagement and boost retention. It also highlights the difficulties retailers face when attempting to implement retail media strategies that align with the unique expectations and behaviors of diverse customer segments. By exploring the intersection of retail media and customer loyalty, this paper offers actionable insights for optimizing campaigns tailored to the specific needs of various customer groups.
