Abstract

Supply chain is competitive tool for all organizations in present time.  Much importance was not given earlier, but now focus has been shifted & supply chain management has got its due importance. It is said that customer is the king & customer satisfaction is the most important factor for the organizations to survive in this dynamic environment. Product should reach to the end customer within minimum possible time & in a right condition. A happy & satisfied customer only can propagate positive words of mouth which are the biggest advertising weapon for the organizations. A efficient supply chain management system is responsible for delivering products to customers & organization can get competitive advantage. A reverse supply chain management is also equally important for the organization to take back some products to rectify or as a part of green supply chain management. An agile supply chain management system stands on efficient information system too. Time consumption to prepare products or delivering services to end customer can be significantly reduced if a supply chain management system works in a proper way. Supply chain management has got strategic importance in today’s dynamic environment & also regarding purchasing decisions.  Strategic sourcing is required for the organizations to gain competitive advantage over others to survive in the market which is not static in nature always. Ware housing is part of supply chain system that can be used to make proper distribution network & gain edge over others.
