Kamgar Connect: A Smart Digital Platform forOn-Demand Skilled Labor Services

The unorganized labor sector constitutes a significant portion of the workforce in developing countries, particularly in India, where millions of skilled and semi-skilled workers contribute to economic growth and infrastructure development. Despite their importance, these workers often face challenges such as limited visibility, lack of verified skill recognition, unstable employment opportunities, and dependence on intermediaries for job access. To address these issues, this paper proposes Kamgar Connect, an innovative digital platform designed to bridge the gap between skilled laborers and potential employers through a user-friendly and technology-driven ecosystem. The platform enables worker registration, skill-based profiling, secure authentication, and the generation of verified digital certificates to enhance trust and credibility. It also incorporates role-based access control, location-based service matching, and transparent communication mechanisms to ensure reliable interactions between workers and clients. Built using modern web and cloud technologies, the system is scalable, secure, and accessible even to users with limited technical expertise. By reducing the reliance on middlemen and promoting direct engagement between workers and employers, Kamgar Connect contributes to fair employment practices and improved workforce participation. The proposed system demonstrates promising outcomes in increasing worker visibility, expanding access to job opportunities, enhancing trust through credential verification, and supporting economic empowerment. Ultimately, the platform aims to facilitate the digital transformation and formalization of the unorganized labor sector while fostering inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities.
