A STUDY ON IMPORTANCE OF INDUCTION PROCESS IN SIGNWARE TECHNOLOGIES, COIMBATORE, TAMILNADU

Abstract

Induction is a very important process which is most essential to the new employees when they join the organization. This programme will train the employees to become productive. Once the employees are appointed, they should be committed and perform effectively and efficiently. The organization has to plan the system and induction process and adopt into the organization’s overall training plans. Induction / Orientation is the first important step in the human resource management. The newly appointed employee has to be familiarized to the work environment of the organization as well as to the colleague employees.This paper titled “A Study on Importance of Induction Process” aims to understand the importance and the effectiveness of the induction process in Signware Technologies. Through this project , the researcher wants to analyze the opinion of the employees about the induction programme conducted in Signware Technologies. This study also helps to determine the relationship between the induction input and opinion about the employee output. Responses are collected through questionnaire for this paper. A Sample of 110 employees has been chosen for this study. Simple percentage analysis, one way ANOVA, T-test, weighted average, Chi-square test and correlation analysis are used to analyze this project statistically. We recommend that employee induction should last more than one day, usually 2-5 days. Employee induction should always start with HR's welcome from the appointed host from that department, who is responsible to guide newcomer through department in order to introduce him to the other.  Based on the other findings, suitable suggestions have been given to the management.
