A Study on the Importance Given to Information Communication Technology in Teacher Education Curriculum and Related Status of Physical Facilities in the Institutes of Teacher Education in Kerala

Abstract

Technology is a key aspect of teaching–learning process in modern classrooms. Internet brings all resources to classrooms for effective learning. All teachers should acquire the skills to transact concepts in a meaningful way using information communication technology facilities available in schools. This study is an attempt to understand the knowledge and skills of prospective teachers in educational technology and the physical facilities available in institutes of teacher education. The finding will be helpful to teachers’ educators and educational authorities to overcome the limitations.
