Abstract

Making a living as a driver is not easy. Like any other profession, truck driving has its own challenges. Although some problems cannot be controlled, drivers need to be careful while operating, be aware of the dangers, and learn how to deal with them. This study investigates two important aspects of drivers' lives: their work, their health and financial situation, and corruption in the transport sector. Save LIFE Foundation (SLF) is an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to improving safety and aims to understand Indian drivers' knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and practices (KABP) regarding their work, friends and transport in India. The Urgent Care Center has entered into a partnership with a multinational automobile manufacturing company based in Mumbai. A nationwide study was conducted to understand these factors related to drivers' quality of life and occupational hazards. Trucks provide valuable services to customers and companies worldwide. However, while it may appear appealing to newcomers or amateurs, living on the road is not simple. This article discusses some of the most common difficulties that drivers encounter and provides some useful recommendations to help them stay safe while delivering critical commodities and supplies. Truck drivers are the logistics industry's backbone.
