Impact of FDI: Competition in Indian Defense Sector (1997-2016)

Abstract

Although Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is believed to be an important determinant of economic growth in developing countries, its impact in the defense sector is very debatable. The present study tries to understand the impact of FDI in the defense sector from 1997 to 2016. Also, it focuses on the effect of market competition in Indian defense industry in the presence of private companies.
