Abstract

The main objectives of this article paper are to familiarize the readers with the role and importance of trade unions in strategic management of human resources and how a trade union can play a strategic role within the existing framework of collective bargaining. In this article, we can learn why ordinary workers join trade unions, why most employers dislike trade unions. We also learn the framework within which negotiation with trade unions are conducted in India.
