Abstract

The Government of India (GOI) policy initiatives like Make in India, National logistics policy and grant of infrastructure status have provided impetus to the Indian Logistics industry. The vision of the proposed National Logistics policy is to drive economic growth and business competitiveness of the country through an integrated, seamless, efficient, reliable, green, sustainable, and cost-effective logistics network leveraging best in class technology, processes and skilled manpower. The focus of this research work is to throw some light on the preparedness of the Logistics industry in response to the GOI call for Make in India products across industries.
