Abstract

The project focuses on employee empowerment and its importance in today’s corporate world.  Empowerment is the process of supporting and encouraging the employees to fully utilize their skills, abilities and creativity to accept ownership and accountability for their job/project. The study identifies the employee empowerment systems implemented in organizations. The various prerequisites for employee empowerment as well as the benefits if empowerment is implemented effectively are also discussed Empowerment includes supervisors and employees working together to establish clear goals and expectations within agreed upon boundaries. This paper focuses on how employee empowerment is necessary in an organisation not only for its growth but also employees as it makes employees independent and great managers. A survey is therefore done to collect the required information. The type of research chosen is descriptive in nature. Secondary data is obtained through books, journals, and websites. Analysis is done assuming that the responses given are true and correct.
