Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has gained significant attention in recent years, highlighting innovative approaches to business that prioritize societal impact alongside profitability. This case study examines the leadership and organizational practices of Jaipur Rugs, founded by Mr. N K Chaudhary, a prominent figure in the realm of social entrepreneurship. Jaipur Rugs not only focuses on commercial success but also places utmost importance on the welfare and development of its weavers and their families through initiatives like the Jaipur Rugs Foundation. and a profound commitment to community welfare. He has cultivated a culture of collaboration and trust within Jaipur Rugs, where employees, especially weavers, are empowered to participate in decision-making processes. This case study explores how these values translate into organizational practices that foster employee engagement, well-being, and holistic development. The role of Jaipur Rugs' HR department is pivotal in nurturing this environment. It focuses on training, leadership development, and fostering a supportive workplace culture that promotes creativity, ethical behaviour, and work-life balance. Through these efforts, Jaipur Rugs not only enhances employee satisfaction and retention but also drives superior organizational performance grounded in integrity and social responsibility.
