Abstract
India, currently the fastest growing economy globally and ranked as the 6th most powerful nation, boasts a population of 1.4 billion, predominantly youthful with an average age of 28 years. Leveraging this demographic dividend demands harnessing the power of innovation and technology among its youth to propel entrepreneurship and elevate the nation's global standing. With ambitious targets such as achieving a USD 5 trillion economy by (2030), India's focus lies on inclusive growth, digital economy promotion, energy transition, investments, and innovation. This paper explores the pivotal role of innovation and technology in fostering successful startups, thereby catalyzing national growth. Through secondary data analysis, the study underscores the significance of startups, strategies to instill an industrial mindset among students, key opportunities, attributes conducive to startup success, and governmental support schemes aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial endeavors. This essay explores the critical role that innovation and technology play in fostering prosperous businesses and promoting economic growth at the federal level. Through the use of secondary data analysis, the research highlights the vital role that startups play, outlines methods for helping students develop an industrial mindset, clarifies important opportunities, pinpoints characteristics that contribute to startup success, and looks at government initiatives to support entrepreneurship.
