Intraday Trading in the Indian Capital Market: A Statistical Analysis of Trends, Strategies, and Dynamics

Abstract

Buying and selling assets during the same trading day in order to profit from market swings is known as intraday trading, or day trading. Technical analysis, good execution, indicator utilization, and risk management are all necessary for a successful intraday strategy. When trading intraday, you should utilize stop-loss limits to protect your risk and prevent losing money. You need to find a trading style that suits your personality and needs. The primary objective of intraday trading strategies is to identify moving stocks that show daily fluctuations. Between 25 and 35 percent of stocks is displaying volatility. This variation is known as momentum. To locate these equities, stock scanners are employed. This research paper explores the dynamics of intraday trading in the Indian capital market, highlighting its significance, strategies, challenges, and opportunities. The paper delves into the historical context of intraday trading in India, examines the tools and techniques used by traders, and analyses statistical data to understand trading patterns and profitability. The study also addresses the regulatory structures that oversee intraday trading in India as well as how trading practices are affected by technology improvements.
