Abstract

Training and development have become increasingly important in an era where innovation is the foundation of competitive advantage, particularly in India's rapidly evolving IT landscape.  The impact of T&D operations on the creative work practices of workers at some of the leading MNCs, including Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture, was investigated in this study.  This study examines the efficacy of technical, behavioral, and leadership-focused training programs using a descriptive and correlational research technique supported by secondary data sources, including reports from LinkedIn, NASSCOM, BCG, Gallup, and company whitepapers. The results show that actual innovation outputs, such as patent filings and employee-led projects, are strongly positively correlated with AI-centric training, particularly with GenAI tools.  Psychological safety, idea implementation, and staff engagement are further improved by behavioral training and leadership.  The report emphasizes the need for integrated, wellbeing-centered learning models to optimize innovation potential, even as it points out notable advancements in T&D methods.  The information advances our knowledge of how effective T&D tactics can support an ongoing innovation culture in the Indian IT sector.
