Abstract

The purpose of our study is to detect the influence of the lockdown restrictions on the real estate sector. The significance of the real estate sector to the economy may be captured with several estimates and numeric. This study is particularly focused to ascertain the effects of lockdown on the workers of the real estate markets. The main focus of our study is to check the wage rate of the workers during the unlock phase. However, the fact is that the demand for real estate has picked during the unlock phase
which has led to the event of increasing demand for labor of the sector, however, has led to increased working hours without any significant wage increment thereby increasing exploitation of the workers. A significant corollary of the lockdown episode to the real estate markets is the recurrent ‘reverse’ migration.
