Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive assessment of charismatic leadership within enterprises, shedding light on both the progress made and the existing gaps in our understanding of this critical leadership style. To appreciate the growing interest that organizational theorists have in charismatic leadership, one must consider the broader context of global competition. However, it's important to underscore that charismatic leadership remains an essential component for fostering a sense of pride and contentment among an organization's members in their day-to-day work. This is especially true as it empowers followers by enhancing their self-efficacy and building trust in their leader. This empowerment is most effectively achieved when charismatic leaders employ their expert and referent power bases. The persuasive influence of a charismatic leader is potent, as followers perceive the leader to possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience. This perception, in turn, enables the leader to successfully guide the ongoing transition and harness the resources that are perceived as essential for realizing the shared vision. The effectiveness of charismatic leadership in organizations is a subject of interest and research in the field of leadership and management. Charismatic leadership is characterized by leaders who inspire and motivate their followers through their personal qualities, vision, and the strength of their convictions. Here's a brief overview of the effectiveness of charismatic leadership in organizations
