Abstract

Sanitation creates a clean, hygienic, and sustainable atmosphere. This article explores sanitation
economics. The sanitation economy has lagged behind sociology. Sanitation is economically driven.
This article applies economics to sanitation theory and practise. The environment and economic growth are interconnected and complex. Economic growth is causing a natural crisis. Economic analysis of ecological issues, causes, and effects uses economic ideas, tools, and methods. Sanitation economics must be addressed globally and locally.
