Abstract

Digital era has imparted visible changes in the instruction of knowledge in Indian Territory over the span of 50 years. This has affected the level of educational consumption among its people. Information explosion has widened the horizons of the knowledge, and the population of the students is increasing day by day with the democratization of education along with different levels of motivation and aspiration. Here, mass media has played a vital role of an agent of change to communicate the piece of information or knowledge to the students. Such digital education has made learning easy and comfortable for both the students and the teachers. Technology and innovation have gradually replaced the rote learning and reliance over the finely printed materials. The vital factors pertaining to growth of digitalized marketing in India merely refer to high demand of higher education raised through smart phone usage, improved Internet facility and increased participation from the government. The launch of plethora of ICT-, AR- and VR-enabled classroom teaching and websites has given a boost to the higher education in India. This paper will discuss the usage of technology and innovation in higher education of India in detail.
