Abstract

The past decade is the witness of tremendous growth in the technology and online shopping has emerged as a latest trend in the field of e-commerce and it is further going to be expanded in recent future. In the today’s market, almost every company is selling or marketing their products/services online and even most of the companies have their own online portals for selling their products/services online.

Now online shopping is a familiar terms for Indian market also. India is exhibiting a high degree of internet penetration with the use of higher bandwidth facilities, lower tariff rates and cheaper hardware.

The recent growth in the no. of online shoppers has influenced us to do a study on online shopping in Nagpur. In this research paper, study was done to understand the impact of Demographic factors on online shopping behavior of consumers. Information like No. of Online Shoppers, Frequency of Online Purchase, and Preference for Online Shopping etc. was collected through Questionnaire from Nagpur city. The results of this study could be used by the other researchers for conducting future studies in this area
