A Study on the Impact of Flexible Work Arrangement on Employee Satisfaction and Work-Life Balance

Abstract

This research investigates how flexible work arrangement influence employee satisfaction and work -life balance within organization. The study focuses on various forms of workplace flexibility and including flexible working hours and work from home practise &hybrid work model and compressed workweek. data were collected from 120 emplyoees through a structured questionnaires and the responses were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analyses. The result indicates that employees generally hold a positive opinion of flexible work arrangement .Among the different practices and hybrid work and compressed workweek shows a significant and work -life balance. The study conclude that adopting well-planned flexible work policies creates advantage for both employees and organization by promoting a healthier and more productive work environment. Flexible work arrangements help employees manage their professional responsibilities along with personal and family needs, thereby improving work-life balance. Such practices can reduce work-related stress and increase employee motivation, job satisfaction, and engagement. Remote work and flexible working hours provide employees with greater control over their daily schedules and working environment. Organizations can also benefit through improved productivity, employee retention, reduced absenteeism, and better employee morale. Therefore, effective implementation of flexible work arrangements can create a supportive, healthy, and productive work environment for both employees and organizations.
