Abstract

Talent management is the efficient practice of recognizing the available situation, employing the right person, evolving the skills and capability of the person to match the position, and holding him to achieve long-term business objectives. Talent management is a tool that is beneficial to both employees and organization. Talent management is an effective tool to make the best possible utilization of the employee’s talent and skills. The research aimed to study is to identify the strategic importance of talent management and to create a link between talent management and organizational performance. The researcher examined the role of talent management in overall organizational effectiveness. With the emerging trends in human resource practices, talent management has become an area of concern globally. Organizations need to form a link between talent management and the overall business strategies. Many research works have been conducted to find the relation and impact of talent management on organization performance. The study was conducted by the survey questionnaire with a population of 300 employees working in various departments of an automobile manufacturing company. Based on the population, the sample size is calculated and is obtained to be around 170 samples. The analysis of the data revealed that effective talent management strategies have significant and positive relationship with organizational performance. The analysis also highlighted that talent management has positive and strong association with competitive advantage, performance, and talent position.
